Time charter rates in the multipurpose shipping sector have been steadily increasing in recent months and February 2021 is going to be no different.
According to the latest index from shipbroker Toepfer Transport, the average daily time charter rate for a 12,500 dwt/F-type heavy lift vessel is set at USD7,146 for February 2021. This is an increase of USD141 compared to January 2021’s figure of USD7,005.
The figures are based on monthly average time charter rates from various owners and brokers.
